Coronavirus threat in IPL 2020: Sourav Ganguly says IPL is on

The 13th edition of Indian Premier League is under coronavirus threat. There is a lot of discussion around the status of the league because of the growing number of coronavirus cases in India. But the BCCI president confirmed that the league is still on. IPL 2020 to be postponed? Total number of coronavirus cases in India has now rises to 42 as on Monday. On the other hand, the IPL will begin on March 29 with seven matches to be played in Mumbai including the opening fixture between Mumbai Indians and Chennai Super Kings. The Maharashtra Health Ministry released a statement mentioning, "15 people are under observation while 258 have been discharged. Not a single person has been found positive for coronavirus infection in the state, as of now." So the Health Minster believes that IPL could be organized later and the situation must be discussed accordingly.
